The homeowners were referred to Silverwood from a previous client. They had stayed with their friends (the previous client) in their waterfront home on East Grand Traverse Bay, and we’re in awe of the home. After their stay, they contacted us, and we began the process of building their dream home. We helped them secure a waterfront lot on Old Mission Peninsula and began the Design-Build process. The homeowners lived north of Chicago at the time, and they were concerned about building a new home that would be over 340 miles away. At Silverwood, about 60 of our clients face that same concern about “building at a distance,” and wonder how it can be done without major logistic issues. We designed their home, developed the specifications, and priced the project in a matter of 45 days with the use of some amazing technology. They were able to make many of their selections from national suppliers right from the convenience of their hometown suppliers. They completed the process of color selections, floor coverings, cabinets, etc. on their trips up to Traverse City, while checking on the progress of their new home. Eight months later we met on site, completed our walk-through, and handed them the keys to their custom-built dream home on Old Mission Peninsula.

This beautiful home features two-tone gray siding with white accents to give this waterfront home on East Bay the perfect modern aesthetic. The red door provides the perfect pop of color, while the grilles on the windows provide a look that is one of a kind.

The Bayside - One of our custom homes - Traverse City

The great room features three large windows to provide a stunning view of East Grand Traverse Bay. The open and airiness of this living area allow for a great entertaining space, while the stacked stone fireplace keeps the family warm during the brisk Michigan winters.

This corner kitchen complements an open floor plan for the perfect balance of efficiency and hospitality. Converse with guests in adjacent dining and living rooms, or more intimately at the spacious island – all while keeping kitchen flow uninterrupted. The crisp white cabinets and marble countertops make stainless steel appliances pop, while the neutral gray ties everything together.

The contemporary gray palatte continues into this master bathroom. The medium gray cabinets underneath the double vanity provide not only an ample amount of storage space, but an aesthetic feature to the bathroom.
